Five on Friday : The Holiday Edition

SIXTEEN MORE DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS!!! GGGGGAAAAAAUUUUUGGGGHHH!!!

Now that I've set the tone for this post...

1. Our holiday cards have arrived and I have sssslllloooowwwwllllyyy started addressing them. I'm not exactly thrilled with the final product... but they are done and they are decent and I can soon check them off my list. Now I feel that I can focus on those last few gifts that I need to square away for the boys. And then I can focus on all the other gifts I need/want to get. And then wrapping and baking and everything else that comes with the holidays can commence. I'm sure I'm forgetting something major... but I don't know what it is...

2. Yet again, I find myself out of hard drive space on my computer so I have begun the tedious process of moving things to "the cloud" for storage. I figured it was time since I now have a 1TB hard drive and TWO 1TB external drives chock full and none of them are redundant. How do I use that much space, you ask? Photos. I'm sure you are not shocked.

3. Speaking of photos... I've been so inspired to shoot something, anything... but failing miserably. Time and light have not been on my side these past few weeks. This is a funk I find myself in every.single.winter. Uuuggghhh....

4. This past week has involved a multitude of doctor appointments. (Six, in case you are wondering what I consider a multitude.) It feels like so many more due to all the time I've spent in waiting rooms... although, I've also gotten a lot of cross stitching done... so I think I am winning. Most of the appointments were annual check-ins for prior medical issues/chronic conditions. All of them went better than expected... but I still find myself emotionally drained. As in... go-to-bed-at-8:00PM drained. I'm hoping that all my emotional energy that has been focused in this life sector transitions to all things Christmas ASAP.

5. I'm writing this post from a local co-working space. As I transition back into freelance with two littles instead of one, I'm trying to make my solo hours as efficient as possible. My work days are only 5.5 hours long (and usually need to incorporate eating and bathing and everything else needed to keep the household running and everyone in clean underwear...) and that's not a lot of time when the workload is heavy. So, I'm trying the work-remotely-yet-not-in-a-coffeeshop idea. I'm taking it as a positive sign that I finished all my work, got some disk space freed up, AND had time to publish a post...

Two quick phone pics since being out of hard drive space means no way to download photos. (See the vicious cycle I am in right now?!) But the idea of not posting photos is too much to handle...
