Random Thursday Thoughts...

Even though it feels like summer here ... I'm guessing cold weather is right around the corner. I'm totally crushing on this coat in pumpkin, and this vest in black. Now if only I could justify a new coat and vest.... *

I've been thinking about how best to document our time in Korea... This newest development from an app favorite, Paper, has peaked my interest. They had me at "Moleskine." (In reality... my documentation will be a photo book... but I can dream, no?!)

Yesterday, our microwave died. Shopping for a new microwave is absolutely not what I want to spend tomorrow doing...but it may just have to happen.

*

I may have accepted a part-time position with a friend & fellow designer. This is either the smartest, or silliest, thing I have done in a long time.

*

I also have something else in the works too... but I can't spill those beans yet. Although I'm pretty excited about it.

In college, one of my classes required me to subscribe to, and read—cover to cover—Wired magazine. It was in it's second year of publication at that point (I totally just aged myself) and groundbreaking on several levels. I fell in love with it, and continued my subscription for years to come. A while back (easily ten years ago), too many moves in quick succession resulted in my magazine subscription and I getting separated. A few months ago, I started reading an article here and there online. And I've fallen head over heels again. Here are two recent faves:

The Freaky Octopus

A LEGO gallery that will make you drool.

This post really spoke to me. It's amazing how certain things come into our lives at just the right time...

And while I'm on little random tidbits... Spencer is anxiously anticipating the next blizzard. (I am not.) Which brings me to the realization that I never posted the photos from Nemo... So, in Wordless Wednesday fashion, here's a bunch of photos from Nemo. Which, apparently, Spencer wants to relive. I—for one—don't want to go without power, heat, and hot water for that long again. Not to mention having to wait almost two full days for the plows to come through, making it impossible to get out of the house. At least now, we have a generator. But let me tell you... three days is a looong time when a blizzard is happening and you have a four-year-old to entertain!

Happy Thursday Everyone!
