On Saturday, we celebrated three years as a family of three. On one hand, it's hard to believe it's been three years since that moment where we went from two to three. On the other hand, it feels as we've lived a lifetime together already. There are so many moments I remember from that day, little pieces of Spencer's history permanently embedded in my brain. And there are also things that I completely forgot about until I re-read Doug's post from that day.
To celebrate this year, we took Spencer to a "train museum." Really, it's five old railroad cars in a yard... but there was a caboose and a container car... perfect for his wild imagination. I mean, what else do you need to head to the North Pole with Buffalo in tow?! As his smile below illustrates, he had a wonderful time. We spent hours there, and he probably could have spent hours more. In keeping with tradition, we'll also be headed to the Greatest Show on Earth when it hits town, but there's no reason not to enjoy a gorgeous day together as a family twice... right?!
