Application Sent! {Finally!}

{There are a million things I should be doing besides blogging... work, email, running, reading all the posts stacked up in my reader... But, c'mon! How could I not post about this??}

For a variety of reasons that I won't bore you with, we've had the formal application to the Korea program with our placement agency sitting here. Waiting. For 2+ months. While I truly have been very zen this go around... seeing that thing day in and day out was driving me a little batty. Honestly, I was frustrated. In part, because it brought on a sense of deja vu. I'm also not very patient and hate to have things linger on my "to do" list. Luckily, I had all the items on the home study front to distract me... and believe it or not, running provided a good outlet for those days I thought I would self-combust. The process is oddly similar, yet completely different, this go around. We haven't watched a program {Vietnam} close. We know our program director at the placement agency... and she just laughs when I call and say "I just need to say I'm still here." and then let her get back to work. We have a different home study agency... but the same drills... just formatted differently. And the emotional swings?! Still the same. Lord help my husband.

Just like last time, it's a series of steps, a series of days. Each step brings us a little closer. Each day brings it's own sense of feelings about the process. There are good days, bad days, rough days, easy days, eat too much chocolate days, drop everything and tickle Spencer days...

Today is a good day. Today is an exciting day. A big pile of papers is out of our hands. We're "officially" on the Korea list as of the end of this week. We have a spot in line. That's pretty darn exciting, no?!?! And, in case you are wondering... I actually did send the packet with that cover sheet you see above. It *almost* conveys my feelings on the matter...
