And another thing...

{OK, so I just have a lot of stuff up in my head that's pretty random and doesn't call for a blog post really... but it's like a log jam and I think I need to get it all out there so I can move on... Here goes.} Sp0tify. I'm in love. Head-over-heels love. It's the piece that's always been missing from my sh@zamed life. I'm one of those people who hits upon a song and wants to listen to it again, and again, and again... for about two weeks. Then I move on. Sorry !Tunes, but you may be seeing a lot less of me. And yes, I've left my "most played" list public, even though it makes Doug shudder with judgement on my musical choices. {Seriously, just 'cause a girl likes to mix Glee with Dre with Britney with Pitbull? I mean, isn't that the point?!}

Speaking of tunes... we've been playing a lot of Loser Like Me, Perfect, Sing, Keep Your Head Up... Any guesses as to what we've been dealing with here? Some pretty heavy, not so fun stuff. Ugh. More on that in some upcoming [password protected] posts. For now...

Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel Like you're less than, less than perfect Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel Like you're nothing you are perfect to me.

And...

I'm not thinkin' 'bout you haters 'Cause hey, I could be a superstar I'll see you when you wash my car All of the dirt you've been throwin' my way It ain't so hard to take, that's right 'Cause I know one day you'll be screamin' my name

And I'll just look away, that's right Just go ahead and hate on me and run your mouth So everyone can hear Hit me with the words you got and knock me down Baby, I don't care Keep it up, I'm tunin' up to fade you out You wanna be You wanna be A loser like me A loser like me A loser like me

Moving on...

We're starting to look into an organized activity for Spencer in the fall. Oh. My. Word. I'm completely overwhelmed. A lot of the things I can see him enjoying aren't offered for his age. Nor are any martial arts/taekwondo classes. There are, however, lots of other options... gymnastics, soccer, dance, ice skating, hockey 101, swimming, cooking, guitar/violin, mad science, art... OK... now I understand how kids can so easily be overbooked these days! It's hard to pick one (And I've sworn one activity/season.) I actually had to make a pretty little chart for myself since I couldn't even process it all. There's a set of requirements I have in my head that I won't bore you with... which makes it harder and easier all at once. How's that for backwards?! I put it out there on FB, cause I was interested to see if there were any other ideas I hadn't thought of, and my favorite answer had to be "raves" ... which somehow seems perfect for Spencer, no?!  (But let's face it, I not-so-secretly hope my child is the next HarryShumJr and there are just no classes for that right now)

Speaking of raves, a kinda-not-really-segway... Someone mentioned to me the other day they could see Spencer "crunking" by the time he was in elementary school. Uhm.... doesn't that mean crazy air-humping dancing and/or "crazy drunk"??? If so (to either of those) than Dear God, I hope not!!! That is the sort of cool I definitely don't want my kid to be...

And one last thought before I wind this crazy post down...

See how there are no photos here?! Yeah. Looks like Fl!ckr and Ch@rter aren't playing so nice these days... which has resulted in me not being able to upload photos. I'm pretty sure I haven't mentioned this here before but I. Hate. Ch@rter. And I mean HATE. It's on my list of things-I-will-not-miss here. So I completely blame them. Of course, they blame Fl!ckr, and oh... you get it. Around and around it goes. All the while resulting in me not uploading photos. I plan to remedy that soon though. (It requires me having to go to the next town over to get online which is absurd...)

I'm also super SUPER behind on emails right now, and I'm going to try really hard to catch up this weekend. Why am I always behind?! I give up. I need the world to stop for about a week so I can get on even ground. How do I do that? Are you familiar with the lyrics "Every day I'm shufflin'  ... Shufflin' ... Shufflin'..." I don't know why... but I relate.

Huh, that was kind of a rant post... but I feel better. And I see I have not one, but two last thoughts. Oh well. Kinda perfect for the ending of this post... no?! And just in case you were wondering... no, there was no alcohol involved in the creation of this post. This is just how my unfiltered mind works. Sad, I know.

Now, I'm off to turn up the spotify and crank out some work while listening to

Party rock is in the house tonight Everybody just have a good time And we gonna make you lose your mind Everybody just have a good time...

{Until next time... I promise lots of good photos...}
