This weekend, Chuseok was celebrated in Korea. It's their Harvest Festival and is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month (according to the Korean lunar calendar). It's similar to our Thanksgiving in that it involves a lot of food (and special holiday programs like our Christmas). Koreans also dress in traditional dress, known as hanboks. It is celebrated for three days, so it kicks off on the 14th and goes through the 16th. Since Doug is traveling, we celebrated with homemade Korean food on Friday night... next year we hope to both be home and able to celebrate with baby! If you're interested, you can find more info here. And you can see some Korean stars dressed in traditional hanboks here.
