Mail Call...

covermarapr08.jpg I'm a magazine junkie (much to my husband's dismay). I think my monthly subscriptions number about 8 or 9 magazines a month. That's a lot. But I love them. Most of my subscriptions are of the "homeowner/homemaker" variety... Better Homes and Gardens, Cottage Living (yeah, I know, I don't even live in a cottage), and Real Simple (which I think every woman in her 20's and 30's should be reading). Then I have some career-related magazines. Before you know it, I have a stack in the office. Well, the newest addition to my magazine obsession is the Adoptive Families magazine. I subscribed the end of last year at the recommendation of our social worker, and today our second issue arrived in the mailbox. Now, when the first issue arrived, I was more excited than anyone should be over a magazine. I was reading it before I even got back into the house... but it was the first issue, so I thought that explained it! No. When I saw this issue in the mailbox today, I almost jumped for joy. Maybe the excitement of a new magazine hasn't worn off, or maybe it's because it only comes every other month, or maybe it's because it represents such a positive event... but, whatever the reason, it's like finding an unexpected present in the mailbox.

I can't wait to dive into it this weekend...
